Wanna come to my party?

Who'd be the first people you'd invite to your party?

I'd have my mum and dad and my two younger brothers. And all my cousins and aunties and uncles! We're a close family and we're all so laid- back. It's not like, …h no, my family are coming so i can't be silly and have a good time."We always have a laugh!

Top! Anyone else from home?

My mates from school 'cause I haven't seen 'em for ages. And obviously the other westlife lads! And of course a party'd be tosh without TV-hits!

Obviously! D'ya party much with yer old schoolmates?

I live in a pretty small town, so we bump into each other when i go back home. We actually have a class reunion planned for 2008, which i'll go to!

Will ya be making a mess at your party?

I won't, but everyone else might! I remember when my parents went on holiday when i was 16, so i threw a party. I planned a small one with just a few mates but it soon got a bit out of hand!Oops!

Oh no! What happened?

There was a swanky ball, in Ireland we call it a Grad, earlier on in the evening, and everyone came back to my house after that. All of a sudden it was like, "Wahey, Mark's having a party!" I woke up the next day and all the food my parents had left me for the week had been opened and cooked. I had to eat boil-in-the-bag meals all week!!

Ya poor love! Did yer 'rents'house got trashed?

Naah! But it could've been a lot worse! Mum was still finding empty crisp packets and ashtrays under her bed weeks later, oops!! They did laugh about it though, which was lucky!

What's the best swanky showbiz bash you've been to?

Our album parties are always good! I went to the S club album launch last Christmas (we're pretty good friends with them). That was a great laugh! We didnt want to leave when the club closed so we all went back to the hotel with the S club gang. Shane and i booked the penthouse suite!

Very Posh! Sounds like you all had a wild night...

Yeah! We didnt even get back till 6.30 in the morning! So we only actually partied for a couple of hours at the hotel! But then we had to leave at 9 am for work and i found Shane fast asleep on the couch!

Ever had to look after one of the lads a party before?

Yeah! Every single one of 'em! But it's our security guy, Paul, who looks after us most of the time! But all of us have had to look after each other at one time or another.

Which lady would ya most like to talk to at yer bash?

I'd love to chat to Lisa Kudrow (phoebe in Friends), shes hilarious! And i can totally relate to her 'cause she doesn't get caught up in the stupid things in life. I'd have a right giggle with her, i reckon!

And which celeb would ya love to set up with your best mates?

Kylie!! Loads of my mates really fancy Kylie. In fact, a coule of them never blimmin' to shut up about her! They see her on telly and say, "Im gonna marry her one day!"They'd be so chuffed if she turned up!

And which gorge gals would you choose to come?

Angelina Jolie!! She's amazing! She always looks quite natural but really beautiful, and thats the sort of look i go for in a girl! It'd also be really funny to have Mariah Carey standing around just looking beautiful!

Any music mates on yer guest list?

I've gotta say Sclub haven't I?! We're friends with most people so i'd send out invites to everyone. I hate it when people create litlle cliques. So this is gonna be the biggest party ever!!

Cool! Would ya be in the booth, DJing?

Naah! I'd hate that! One of my best friends is a DJ back in Ireland and he laways asks me to have a go on the decks but i'd just muck it up! Im interested in DJing, but i'd noly ttry it in my bedroom, just mixing some songs on a cd together. It'd be a real botch job though, I tell ya!!

Awh! We bet you're great! Who'd provide the laughs?

Eddie Murphy! He's a really funny guy. Lisa Kudrow could sing smelly cat for us as well, i love that song!! Sacha Baron Cohen ( who plays Ali G) would be really entertaing as well, not as Ali G, just as himself!

Finally, who'd be yer dream party guest?

Apart from you? I'd be pretty chuffed if Prince and Stevie Wonder both turned up! I could even join them on stage. That'd be my little perk for organising it all of course!

The pressure can take its toll on this shy guy

Is fame everything you dreamed of?

It is really cool but it's not easy. Fame's very different from what you see on TV. I don't thing anyone realises how much hard work it is.

What makes it hard?

Every now and again you freak out and wonder whether it's all worth it. The first time we went to America, I was 19 and we were doing a gig in two different cities each day for six weeks. We didn't have much money so I couldn't afford to call my family. And then, unfortunately, my grandad passed away. I was like, "I'm getting on a plane right now and not coming back." You get days like that and it makes you feel like quitting, but usually everything's much better the next morning. What's the funniest thing that's happened to you? We flew to Poland recently and I slept all the way there. When we arrived we signed some autographs and everyone was laughing at me - I just thought I looked really tired. When I got back to the hotel I went to wash my face and saw that Nicky and our tour manager, Anto, had drawn big red tears all over my cheeks and graffitied my forehead while I was asleep. Have you met any stars that haven't impressed you? There was that famous time a couple of years ago when Christina Aguilera had me removed from a seat in the Met Bar. But now, having been in the industry a while, I realise it probably wasn't even her fault. It's more likely that one of her entourage was probably getting abit self-important. But it's had a positive side - it's just showed me how I never want to behave.

Ever had a stalker?

Yeah, there was a girl who hung around my granny's house. She kept ringing her so we had my granny's number changed but somehow the girl got hold of the new number. Then I saw her at the airport and really laid into her. It's very scary - John Lennon ended up losing his life because of a stalker. It's not nice to leave your hometown thinking, 'Is my granny ok?'
